20-year-old Bassey Johnson has been arrested for allegedly luring children into his room at the Egbeda area of Lagos, with kids cartoon television shows on cable network, and then raping them.

According to the police, Bassey who hails from Akwa Ibom State, met his waterloo when one of his victims, a four-year-old girl, complained of pains in her private part to her mother.

Armed gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram currently attacked Kuburvwa Village‎ which is just 10 km from Chibok Town. According to Premium Times, an official of the Borno state vigilante Group, Abbas Gava, who confirmed the attack, said suspected sect members stormed the village at about 6.30 p.m, yesterday shooting sporadically into the air.
“As I am speaking to you now the gunmen are setting every house on fire after chasing the villagers away. From the information we have received from our operatives in Chibok and Kautikari, the number of casualty cannot be ascertained for now because the Boko Haram insurgents are still in the village” he said yesterday.

France becomes first country to ban plastic cups and plates

France has become the first country in the world to ban disposable plastic cups and plates.
A new French law will require all disposable tableware to be made from 50% biologically-sourced materials that can be composted at home by January of 2020. That number will rise to 60% by January of 2025.

Samsung and T-Mobile collaborate on 5G trials
